Predator

I installed my Preator program a few days ago and all I can say is "WOW" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is better then white bread. My 04 X runs smoother, shifts better, and seems to get better MPG's. Just got back from a 900 mile trip and I went from 17 to 19.1 mpg. It could be that the X is just starting to get broke in but its sure fun to drive now. I had a 2002 X with the 7.3 and this will walk all over it. I was not sure about spending the money at first but I wasted money before so I gave it a try. Not a waste at all.

Clock: How did you config the Predator? for better mileage? more power? or Both?

From the Predator Site:

45HP / 115 ft-lbs torque tow file for heavy towing
65 HP / 150 ft-lbs torque, all-around use, light towing, fuel economy performance tune
100 HP / 220 ft-lbs torque, no towing unless you have an EGT gauge and exhaust system installed
Factory Tune options adjustments

does this mean I can run a Predator in 45 & 65 HP modes without any modifications?

That's how I read it. But it seems that the consensus on this board is to install gauges for safety. So, I'll have to find out who installs them.. or if the gauge kit comes with adequate instructions to DYI.

Installation is a piece of cake. Took me a day with taking breaks and doing some Honey-dos through out to keep the wife happy.

You are talking about the Diablo Predator PROGRAMMER, right ?

U can change the program in about 2 to 3 mnutes once you're comfortable with the cycle it ask you to use...

Obviously, the first time I did it I read all the prompts and took my time and still it only took 10 minutes @ most !!!

Then.... wooo-whoooooooooooooo

and for gauges, consider the BD X-monitor

Ordered my predator 2 days ago from motorhaven. Does it come with all the updates? They also said free overnight shipping, when can i expect it to arrive?

JohnF250 I ordered mine from banks for my old truck the instructions were very well written. as for other gages I dont know. I had a friend help me install them into the new truck. I had to order a new gage pod for the newer style truck. just be careful not to kink the teflon line to the turbo boost gage. and make sure you wire the gage light into the dimmer switch wire. I'm not sure witch wire this is as my friend ( teamroper60) that did most most of the work wired it for me. all I know is that there is a removable dash pannel directly below the steering wheel and the wire is connected into there. teamroper frequents this site hopefully he will chime in and give better directions

Sound good. Also, 3 mpg with the Predator makes it worth the $400 bucks for sure. I might have to order one

I ordered my late on Wed nite the first nite they were available and got it 9:00 AM Friday...
(Too late to ship it to get there on Thursday)

You should have received it the next day, or if you ordered to late in the day to make it in time for the UPS daily pickup, two business days. Did you get it yet?
