Thanks for the info...I will be including that on the vin tag sticker if I ever manage to get one...or the build tag if I get that.
Like I said...I'm really only out to please the inspector with this info. I already know more about the truck than anyone else in the world. I pulled all the wires and did the engine and installed the msd etc etc. I do all my own mechanical and fab work. I became an ASE master tech back in 92 and have since became an automotive engineer....Now days I program robots for an automotive company.Unfortunatly these different types of credentials and knowlege dont seem to help a whole lot when it comes to finding a person that will make stickers or build tags.

I had seen a place on the net that reproduced the vin plates on the doors, you give them your info and they make a new plate, but I can't remember who it was. You could always use a piece of metal and a set of number and letter punches and make a vin plate for it, would probally be enough to get by, I had a pieced together truck like that before and that's what it had for a vin plate.

I got a new vin tag for a mustang from mustangs unlimited. They took the info I had on my original and printed up a new one. The sticker on the truck may include the vin but it was mainly the weight rating of the truck. You might check with Mustangs Unlimited and see who supplies them with stickers. Maybe their supplier covers other vehicles.
