Where can i find dummy sensors and how much are they? I have my 2nd cat off and its causing my check engine light to come on. I changed the o2 sensors and that still did not to the trick, thanks jfarm
Aside from the check engine light, have you noticed a decrease in performance? Commonly on the newer computer controlled trucks, youre computer will compensate for youre lack of a rear cat. Is there a reason you removed it? Is a high flow unit out of the question? I am not too familiar with the dummy sensors, but I have to believe that an EPA attendant can find out with their visual inspection (if you have one) that its been altered.
I removed ALL of the cats on my 98 F150 4.6 and didnt get a light for over a year and a half until the weld were i had removed the cats broke in half. Now Im having a problem with my gibson headers sealing but im getting a lean code from the front o2 i am not getting a cat out of spec code from the rear o2
I also removed all four cats on my 98 F-150, I never got a light in the three months I drove around without the MIL eliminators. The truck acts the same as it did with the cats. I ran a Flowmaster 40 dumpped for a little while, then I stuck on two Dynomax Bullets, 3" IN/OUT, into 2 1/4" piping with 4" Magnaflow tips at a 45 degree angle out the back, that deffinatley made up for the little bit of tourqe loss I experienced, now it just sounds like a machine gun. Everyone that knows the truck around here calls it the M60-150.
