What do you advise?

I have a '93 Ford Bronco XLT with a 5.0 liter 302 engine. I'm having work done on a problem im having with the CATs clogging up on me. I was thinking of turning the 2.25 inch single exhaust into a dual exhaust system. The first of the two CATs will be gutted. What I want to know is this. How much difference in power would I see with going to a dual exhaust system with a flowmaster? How much noise should I expect? And how will it affect the gas mileage? Any input or advice would be helpful. Thanks!

it depends on what series flowmaster you get as far as loudness goes...ive got true duals no cats with 40 series...its LOUD outside the cab...not as bad on the inside....you should be happy with 50 series flows if your going for deep mellow sound....you could get around 10-15 hp....depending on how much you like to hear the exahust when you gas it up like me all the time lol...you might get a couple more mpg's nothing to write home about...but like i said its all about your taste....if you go with duals get an x pipe too...i just got an x pipe installed and am very happy with it...hope my input helps ya out...good luck
