Good luck BigMatt and thanks for all you gave to this site. Based on your letter there's some strong feelings there and I can't say that I blame you for movin' on...there's lots of good folks on this site and you were one of the best.

You will be missed!

wow, I sure didn't see this coming.

I thought it was all kidding around too. Usually got a good laugh, I guess at someone else’s expense.

That's the trouble with the typed word, especially from people you've never met. You can't tell what's fun or serious.

My company has 22 sites around the world and every once in a while an email thread gets out of hand. We all get on the phone or face to face if possible and usually find whatever got us hot is a non issue.

Judging by the outcry here I think you should reconsider Matt.

I think this is the core or root of the problem. All my lifelong friends and I constantly cut each other down....been doing it for as long as I can remember. But over a worldwide web like the net, it's hard to tell exactly what a person is thinking. Personally, I've never been completely serious a single day in my life. I like to have fun, throw out a few jabs and receive just as many if not more, however sometimes the “gang” effect can start to wear a guy down.

I think this should serve as a lesson to all of us. We should work together, respect each other’s opinions, throw out a few “non-personal” jabs and hopefully solve the problems the best we can collectively.

Matt,
You will be missed.
Your knowledge and wit were a welcome addition to the forum.
Maybe coming back with a new name is what you need. Take a break. But don't leave forever. It would be a loss to FTE.
