OEM Color on Frames?

Hi Charles,
According to Paul G. McLaughlin's book "Ford trucks 1957-67", It says this about the 1957...........
1957 exterior and interior paint details
Frame, tailight (flareside), wheels (except F-100), springs, axles, frame mounted fuel tank and filler neck, were all painted black.
Filler neck on cab-mounted fuel tanks were painted body color
All metal surfaces in standard cabs and standard panel were painted the exterior color before any interior trim was applied
Bumpers could be painted black or white
Grille bar, headlight doors, parking lamp rings, were all painted white on standard cabs.
All exterior mirrors (except chromed), were painted white including mirror arm.

I appreciate that. I guess the black was that common chassis black color somewhere between satin and gloss.
Kenny If you find a spare copy of that book I want it. I've looked everywhere with negative results. Keep it in the vault cause if it gets lost it is gone.

You know there are probably a 100 or so 57 - 60 guys and unk number of 61 - 67 guys. I wonder if we got a group order up if they would reprint it. If they digitized it it could be a print on demand book.

Anyone have a clue how to go about doing this. Could FTE find out for us (get minimum order and pricing) and represent us?
