Well, I just got my exhaust done, they put on an Ultraflow and to tell you the truth it's not very loud, but at least it dosen't sound like a ricer. So what can I do to get more out of it?
This is behind the stock cats, so what I was wondering is if I bust out one of the cats will I get some better tone, and what effect is it going to have on my truck? Also I was thinking about glasspacks, how would that sound? Any of you guys with exhaust on your 4.9 have any comments or suggestions?
its been my undrestanding that you can remove the 'pre' cat , install a high flow single cat and not only improve sound , but performance, you might want to check the im regs, where you live ,bob
i got straight pipe into a 30" glasspack, and it ain't very loud...go w/ a shorter pack if anything...louder that way...some people suggest flowmasters w/ 2 1/4" piping...i'm still working on my truck, and will probably try 2 or 3 diff. set-ups before i decide on something...
