Flow thru Exhaust
Jeg's has the cat and the muffler, just can't find anyone to do it.
They all say my 93 Bronco has 2 cats. One is up into the Y pipe and it is to far forward to be able to weld in a new pipe to the new cat. And without cutting it out there is no reason to put a free flow cat in or muffler, because the cat up by the y pipe is still restrictive.
So all these guys on here saying that they had free flow exhaust and duels put on how the hell did you get anyone to do it?
Damn government regs!!!!('
')They told me some of the new SUV's have 4 cats on them.
Can anyone in Ohio tell me where I can get both cats cut out and new exhaust welded in?
Thanks in advance!

What you will need:
1. The muffler and cats (it would be nice if your aftermarket ones were the same length as your stock ones as well as inlet size)
2. An angle grinder with a cutting disc. you can use old fashioned pipe cutters
3.connector pipes (small sections that are just bigger than the pipe size you are using that will fit snuggly over the pipe and has a small ridge in the middle that acts as a stop for each pipe. You can find these at NAPA)
4. Large area exhaust clamps. you can get these at Jegs, they work much better and seal much better than the smaller cheaper kind.
5. Exhaust hangers. chances are you will break the old ones.
How to do it:
Well its pretty self explanitory. Cut the old cats at the ends but cut on the exhaust pipe not the cat. While they are still off the truck, hammer the cats' ends into the connecters on both sides. slip the new cat in where the old one was. You should be able to move the exhaust pipe enough to be able to slip the new cat in, if you cant, remove some of the old exhaust hangers so you can. scrape the pipes with a wire brush as needed to get the connecters onto the old rusty pipe. You can wrap the connectors with sometype of exhaust type of wrap if you like. Put some new hangers in around where the Cat is.
Now keep in mind, this meathod is NOT anywhere near proffesional grade. However, it is cost efficent and it will get you your HP and a better sound. If you dont care about looks i would consider doing this.
As for the Duel exits, without a pipe bender, would be a next-to-impossible chore. but look into Performance Product's catolog (thats a actual catolog not general) or into JC Whitney. I would put money on it saying that they make a pre-bent kit for your aplication that will have duel exits.
Well hope this helps and good luck!
