Well i want my truck louder now. Its 1981 f-100 with a dual exhaust, 1 cat (i think), no muffler, and it comes from one side of the engine.
Moneys kinda of the issue here otherwise i would totally redo my exhaust to get it how i want.
But since i dont have the money im thinking of just removing the cat? What are yalls thoughts on that?
Its a 81 carbed 302, so im guessing the cats more than likely bad on it by now anyways. An with removing that it should be quite a bit louder.
But what im worried about is if the sounds gunna be a ugly sound. ( a deep rumble that gets fairly loud as i take off is what i want.)
So any ideas on a way that i can clamp on the old cat if i dont like the sound?

Just checked out my exhaust and there is only 1 cat which is about 2 feet long.
It turns out the the cat is already basically just clamped on there, so this week i reckon im just gunna take it off and see how i like the sound!
