i just got a e-mail from what looked like pay pal .
what made me suspicious is that they threatened that if i didn't give them the correct information that i will be suspended or terminated.
i clicked on the link and OMG they asked for everything.
credit card ifo, bank info, mothers maiden name.
so you all have the heads up that if you get this it is a SCAM!
never give any information out!
Thanks.I'v only used Pay-Pal once so they would already have that imformation, unless they do that to confirm a purchase I may have made using my account.I guess I'll find out if I use it somewhere else.
The people who do this sort of thing ,do it for a living. They seem very clever. They always know what approach to take when scamming money.People fall for the darndest things. The criminal mind works in mysterious ways.

i wouldn't worry about pay pal I'll still use them, it's just that the e-mail looked so legitimate that i could see people falling for this one.
my aunt also told me about one where these people call on a Friday and say there has been a problem with your light bill and they haven't received payment yet, but if you pay by credit card they won't turn off your lights.
people need jobs!
Do not respond to ANY e-mail from PayPal or eBay (one and the same now). There are several being sent from God knows where which tell you that you've been billed, you need to update your info, etc. Neither of these 2 sites will EVER ask you via e-mail to update info.
The PayPal home page has a warning about hoax emails, and they have a link to report any you get.
They also recommend you open a separate browser window whenever you want to go to PayPal or Ebay.
