Another Turbo question..sorry

I'm hearing what sounds like a high pressure air leak (hissing) in or around the turbo area while idling. The dealer's technicians (geniuses) said that the sound is Turbo whine.

Question Is the turbo spinning (whinning) while the truck is at idle?

Yes, the turbo is spinning, but it is not near rated speed and it is not moving much air- maybe up to 2 psi. I hear no turbo whine when my truck is idling. I would look for a leak

another thing you might check is to see if you after turbo exhaust is loose...i pulled my exhaust apart just after the resonator and the whistle of the turbo will make your ears bleed....i love it
