Has anyone taken the back wall panel off there CC? If so, why does the panel have a raised area about half way down? I'm looking for a little more room for another sub.
The raised panel about half way down is where the cab vents are and yes removing that panel will gain you some room.....just don't recommend sealing up the vents.
Hey my good buddy V-10 I found the solution to all our problems if you go back to the post I put out about 2002 cc subs help you will find a post from a fella instrument tech and he built a box for his 2003 and posted some pics. I built this box on sat. and installed 2 wO10 JL audios and maaaaaaan int frikin rocks I can easily say this out performs any setup Ive had in the extended cabs I did trim the molded plastic under the top ridge just below the back window 36" wide not so the box would fit but so I could add speaker grills and I am totally impressed If you want a good tite sound with great bass for all music this is the way to go!
Good luck man
