Either way - if you see a trailways station, don't stop!
"Keep the south beautiful - put a Yankee on a bus..."
Actually - I meant that in reference to where the bus lines usually put their stations. It isn't normally the safest part of town...
Are there local places on the outskirts that are laid back and down home? That might be the best of Atlanta....
Seems to me the "Rossingtons" have strong ties down around there.
Further thoughts (If you ain't already disgusted) Atlanta Georgia and Southern Rock and Roll Music go way back to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rossington Band, and one most people never think of - "The Atlanta Rythm Section" ("Champagne Jam", etc...)
The local music scene must be a MUST SEE down around there, just like Memphis!
Out of pure blind curiousity - where does someone go to hear all of that? Down Memphis way there is "Bealle Street" for example

if you go up to the buckhead area, theres a lot of nice places to eat and a lot of nice bars. if you like wings go to 3 dollar cafe, theres a few of them around, its a sportsbar atmosphere. i cant think of anything else right now i just woke up.
I stayed in the buckhead area of atlanta twice while getting my prosthetics. We stayed in the Swiss hotel (I think that's right) the 2nd time and it was horrible for a "Fancy"hotel. We stayed at the Holiday Inn I think it was right next door to the swiss hotel the first time and think it was much better. Underground Atlanta is alright and the Coca-Cola museum is pretty fun. You can taste coke products from all over the world.
