Dropped axle thread...

While cruising through some past threads I noticed that there was a company or person that was working on making a dropped axle for our trucks. I found that one thread and nothing saying that it was ever completed. It was dated 05-03. Is it still being developed, or was it dropped (parden my pun...)?

Not sure if it will be any help. May want to check out 6/2001 article in the FTE 'tech article' section.

good luck,

I have not heard if the shop has them completed yet. When i dropped off the correct 61 to 64 prototyping axle they were working on a long run of chevrolet dropped axles for the same customer. and once those were done then would work on prototyping the ford axle. I will check with Ken and see how it is going along.....The Axles are being fabricated for one of the west coast suppliers of parts.

From what info i have the cost will be in the four to five benjamin range. will accept your stock spindles, kingpins and have all the factory caster and camber built in. 4 to five inch drop on stock springs and really slam on mono drop leaf springs like 8 inches.
