dropped axle

anyone know if i can put a '53 dropped axle on a '52? it will cheaper and stronger then taking mine in to have it dropped... plus disc conversion is cheaper for '53

I asked the same question and was told the 53 has a wider front axle.

I would call CHUCK at Chucks trucks (chuckstrucksllc.com) He is able to get a brand new dropped axle for 48-52 trucks. Thats where I got mine and real happy with the product.
