I had mine up to 100, but that was a little scary with how light the truck is. I've never activated my governor, so I think mine is set between 102-105. If you are going to try to top out your truck, don't do it for long. Unless you have the properly rated tires, they will heat up and separate, causing a nasty accident.

I don't know about the '92, but my '01 kicked in around 92, and I know I've read that somewhere before as well.

If I had a governer, how would I change it. Would I have to mess with the computer?

Years ago I had my 900 Kawasaki up to 135 (no helmet, no glasses). I think that was about the time I realized that I really didn't need to be anywhere that bad and slowed down.

My ranger tops out at 97 on the dot.
Murder4hire, all you have to do is buy a chip to raise or remove the governor and the rev limiter. But like someone else said, they have them to match the tire ratings. Not worth it to kill yourself.

Ya, I'd make sure I had some semi high performance tires before I ever think about goin over 90.
