as far as bfg's are concerned there excellent and top-$$
i am curious what everyone has been putting on there stock rims?
i got bfg 315/75/r16 on my aluminium 16" stock rims. i know your not suspose to.......but it seems ok. the 315's seem louder then some 33" ones i heard. is this just me or just larger tires make more noise?
well I paid my dues to the rubber gods I settled on the 285/75r16
they run alittle on tight turns but my next mods a 4" lift so they will fit fine then great ride I had to drive up past detroit yesterday
It was a great imrovement over the coopers but im $700 poorer
Someone asked about the Dunlop Radial Rover A/Ts. I put a set of 285 75 R 16s on my '97 F250 a few years ago and have been extremely pleased. They look great, have worn very well, are as quiet as the stock tires and give outstanding traction in all weather (I plow in the winter). These are the least expensive 285s around ($98 each from TireRack) and I am definitely putting them on my next truck. I don't really understand why such a great tire at such a great price doesn't get mentioned more, but after trying several other tires over the years, I'm sold.
like alot have allready said the michelin ltx is a nice tire (for the road). but if you go off road i would go with bfg all terrain stong durable and work well offroad.
I have a 1999 f350 4x4 with 135k mile I love my 285-75-16's They are Liberator All-terrain. Bought them @ Wallmart On-line for $90 each. The ride is nice and they are great in the rain and snow. Iwas going to buy a secound set just in case they discontinue. Good luck.
