yes and no...I have gotten down to 7-8 psi so far and i haven't lost a bead yet, but then again, I haven't been down the Sluice either! Hopefully I will have a set of beadlocks in the very near future!

Jason, have you seen Buzz's site? That pic is really of his truck . . . guy has some crazy stuff floating around in his garage, plus a few bonus pics which are not FTE appropriate. Somehow I don't think they're part of his truck collection.
I think the 16.5's seem to be an issue only if you're airing down. People keeping their tires at regular pressure don't have any problems with them as can be seen from the front of Buzz's truck bouncing 4 feet off the ground.
Buzz needs to quit running his mouth and state his opinions without taking cracks at other people...if he thinks i am impressed by lifting his tires 1 foot off the ground with his truck i am not...
Holy crap, theres smack talk being flung around and I had nothing to do with it. Whats the world coming to.
16.5's are the WORST rims to run offroad when you air down because their lack of a safety bead makes them easier to slip a bead then a 15, 16, 17, etc.
Can you air down and offroad 16.5s? Of course. I just don't know why there is a debate about 16.5s being inferior for off-roading...they are, especially with our heavy pigs.
Cool truck Buzz, but yea, you don't need to post that pic in every thread you participate in.
Sure Pro . . . next thing you'll be telling him how to weld an axle!
All I hear is bad news about 16.5s. That's why I bought 16" rims. Was glad to see Interco make that new 42" IROK in a 16" . . . just what I've been waiting for.
Yup, I'm glad to see that Interco is finally getting with the program. You CAN succesfully grind your calipers like Ho mentioned, but we have to take a good bit more off then the chivy boys, and I've never been comfortable doing that. Many have done it with no problems though. I think 42" 'Roks on 16s would be sweet.
