ok it's 5x5.5....and your wheels will fit any older model jeep and 80-98 f-150....this is a very common lug pattern and there are a lot of manufacturers who make wheels for you.
i will post them when i get to skool
The 97-03 F-150's use a 5x135mm pattern, so standard rims won't fit. However, there are a few companys making 16.5's for that pattern. Allthough I'm not sure why you would want them with the lack of safety beads.
Ho, when are you going to stick 15's on your truck? I looked at my caliper clearance again last night. Seems like a lot of grinding to make it work. If I only had a guinea pig.
So my question of the day is if 16.5's are crap then why do all the big tires come that size, or 15 but none of them seem to come in a 16 or 17? Seems like the only giants in a good size are the STS and 49" IROK.
most of the big tires that are ony in 15" or 16.5 were designed a good while ago....back when those were the most common wheel sizes
i bought the 16.5 rims i have now back when i was in high school, and i didnt know an ybetter....and all i cared about was riding on the street or mud
ive had this set of tsl's for 6 months or so, and they still got 95% tread left....so itl be awhile for they wear out....to answer your ?.....im a poor coollege kid, if sumone bought my tires and wheels id go with 15's.
my buddy "john deere ranger" off pirate is running 15's, he didnt have to grind that much and the back spacing is prety much normal for a 10 inch wheel...ill ask him the exact specs one day. hes running a 3/4 ton dana 44 up front....which uses the same dual piston calipers as the 60.
ill try to get ahold of his webpage, i think hes got some pics of the ground down calipers on there
I have 16.5s on my 92 1 ton and my 77 half ton. Both are lifted and I just like having more rim than rubber to reduce sidewall flex. They do suck when it comes to aired down or almost flat conditions as one could walk up to it and kick it off the bead with a well placed kick. Then you need ether to air it up. I use them mostly because I can take my worn super swampers off the 1 ton and swap them to the half. Plus I have accsess to boat loads of military hummvee tires (slightly used) that take the same rim size.
