adding oil!!
ok guys i got a good one and im goin to sound EXTREMLY stupid.
i have a 83 6.9 diesel and the oil fill tube is "L" shaped and it literly takes FOREVER to add oil, if i pour it in any faster than a very small stream the tube fill up to the oil cap and have to wait loong time for it to go into engine regardless of ambient temperature 1 quart takes almost 20 mins to add!!
is ther some vent im missing to open or??
have same problem even when its running. with as much oil as this thing takes it would literly take all day to add a full oil change.
is the oil subposed to be forced in somehow?
any suggestions????

I certainly can’t just dump a large-mouth gallon container down mine. I am able to add oil much faster than you are. The fill tube comes off pretty easy and dumps off into a rather large area containing the injector pump drive and timing gears. It’s worth your time to remove and check for blockage. I don’t add oil when the motor is running… Much luck to you…….
