How much oil

How much oil does it take to fill your trucks engine, mine takes about 7 liters, thats just over 7 quarts, is that stock, my Haynes manual says I should only be using 5 liters. I also have an engine oil cooler on the truck it was there when I bought it. Is that stock for an F150, I am from Canada and so is the truck anybody's opinion would be great

7 should be okay with the oil cooler.

-6 qts with a filter change is acceptable
-6 1/2 qts with filter is full
-7 qts with filter is max according to Ford spec book

I just changed my oil 2 days ago. I used 6 1/2 quarts which filled it perfectly.

Oil cooler? Do you have an auto trans? Are you sure it's not a tranny cooler. You mean the small radiator mounted in front of your large radiator? That's your tranny cooler.

It's cant be for the tranny, unless, ford started putting tranny coolers, on manual trannies, aswell as autos.

Well, one way to find out, crawl underneath and look, or call the Dealer. I'm pretty certain they don't put oil coolers on cars. Motorcycles yes, but cars no. I'm pretty certain it's a tranny cooler, auto or manual, when your towing that fluid can still get hot.
