Fuel pump problems

im installing my new fuel pump but i need to get the canister off to put the filter in. ive tried everything, channel locks,starp wrench, bare hands everything and im prettey strong. anybody have any indeas? id liked to get this taken care of fast cause i dont have a garage and its about to snow.

Since you're in a hurry I'll have a shot. This topic came up just a little while ago and someone said tapping it with a hammer loosened it right up.

While applying pressure with pliers or strap wrench tap on the bottom ith a hammer, preferably rubber. The idea is to shock it while trying to turn like an impact wrench.
