I have a 61 F100 with a 292 Y block. I am thinking about a swap of a Ford 400M.
If anyone has made this swap, any information, or tips would be helpful.
The old 292 has an oil pan with a slight rear sump. My guess is to allow room for the front axle.
This truck was lowered with Mono leaf springs, but still has plenty of room between the axle and the oil pan.
Would a rear sump 4x4 pan fit, or is the stock front sump pan okay?
Any idea on headers?
