H/X crossover installed!
CeeJay just check the fittings when you do the fuel filter change. If you just installed it. I'd check it everyday for about two weeks. I did. That's just me. Glad of it too. Found the passenger side fitting weeping a bit. My fault. Not tight enough. Just tightened her down alittle more and it stopped. Simple solution to clean up the Valley in there. "Simple Green." Spray it down then use low water pressure to rinse it off. I did mine about three days ago and it's bone dry. Note: Both Dale's and ITP's lines are fine, just your personal choice I reckon. Oh, Cookie I liked the coolant filter set up. If I get the wife a new truck I'll be a adding that!
Earlier in the thread, someone asked what the H/X mod does. The high pressure oil rails run down each head of the engine, independent from one another, supplying the injectors with "hydraulic" pressure to fire. In the firing order, two adjacent cylinders must fire consecutively. Under certain circumstances, after the first injector as fired, the pressure hasn't built up in the rail to allow the second cylinder to receive full pressure. The H/X hose connects the two oil rails, allowing the pressure from one rail to help boost the pressure of the rail with the two cylinders firing consecutively. Hence, the second cylinder always gets full pressure. This mod often improves the idle quality, and overall smoothness of the engine. Some trucks benefit more than others.
