more horsepower needed

I own a 91 explorer xlt and i'm looking to get more power but I want to keep it cheap bacause I bought it for $500 and she runs great. any help would be appreciated...

From: Enjoying the real world.

A chip is going to run over $200 plus require premium fuel. Cheap is a relative term, and for a $500 SUV, a chip isn't cheap.
