I'm done.
I can think of at least 10.
IMO, while it's a good site, it can't touch FTE for info.

And i hope it is not because of JRB and his need of a headliner.
I won't go back on the OTHER Site! Mod's(Greg) think's he can erase post's to make the Arguments go away! happend to me a couple of times, you can not call B.S. on anyone over there! even if you know there full of it.
Which model do you have...an Eighty Eight, Ninety Eight or Urinate, for p!ssin' around town in!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
My family were Olds Dealers for 80 years, I've owned quite a few from 1941 thru 2000.
I've never owned a Toyota, but I found a link on one a the Toyota forums that lead me here.
btw: Do you happen to know Woody Hyde from the Olds Club? I passed along a ton of literature to him on 1949/50's.
I own a 1983 Toyota 4x4 pickup, I love the looks of the body lines. I have had more people come up to me and ask if I want to sell it. It wouldn't surprise me about the link to the FTE, I see adds for Chevrolet and Dodge on the FTE.
I made a detailed pattern of all four pieces. Complete with the hole placements and 1/4" cutouts for the clips. I took the time to measure these from outside edge to where holes should be. It took me a while to do these. I then made copies to sell. (copies alone were $75.00) And then thought against selling, and decided to just give them away to the serious. I gave a set away already.
I made these around three or four months ago. I then get some a$$ who wants a headliner for the weekend car show. If it's anything like his paint job it's only a disgrace to the truck. I don't hurry to do something to my truck for a show or in my case, a photo shoot for a magazine. I do things right and take my time doing it. If I miss a shoot or a car show, so be it. My truck is more important then a rush job.
This is just the last of guy's here who want something for nothing then bit@^ when you don't produce fast enough.
I run a semi-sucessful parts business for ford trucks ranging from years 1958 to 1975. What I do on this site is for the love of slicks especially the redheaded step child, the 64. So I don't have to sit back and watch some guy rush his truck for a show, making it look like a rush job rather than the pride of owning a "slick."
A rush or mickey mouse job only cheapens the appearence of the "slick".
And it show's!!
Custom work or original, the love of these trucks is what we admire.
While I admire a lot of people here who take their time to do a job right, there's the few that don't. The one's who wait for parts they need to do it right, know it'll be done right when finished. Taking your time is self worth and the love of a new found hobby "Being a Slick Owner."
I met a couple of guy's at this years Western Nationals who drove in on a rusted old 64..... The looks on these two old weathered faces showed pride in ownership. After hearing of their plans for this truck I could only smile and shake their hands. No rush job they just enjoyed driving and owning a slick. I tell you, seeing them in that truck made that truck,
"the coolest slick at the show." No new paint, no headliner, hell hardly had a floor. Yet they loved that slick. That's what it's all about.
Well I rambled on, but an explanation was due.
I will not be selling parts here nor trading or helping in the search for hard to get parts. I'll read the posts from time to time. The ones who have my phone number and e-mail address feel free to contact me anytime.
I feel you are over-reacting. Take a couple of days off from FTE, and think about what you are going to do.
FTE has more members combined than all the other Ford related site on the net, with more joining daily.
More members mean more potential customers, and considering how bad the economy is right now...I feel you are making a mistake leaving the world's largest website.
I hope you will reconsider.
