excellent , many thanks , respectfully ,bob. btw ,chaspsmith,a pitman seal is on the bottom of the steering box that goes on the shaft before the pitman arm does , which is what steers your truck, along with several other parts ,i learn some thing every time i log on to this site,good luck, bob
You have to pull the pitman arm, sometimes you can get the seals (there are two) out by starting the engine and turning the wheel against the stop, they might pop out... I've had better luck with a sheet rock screw and vise grips. Also believe there is a snap ring involved, as well as cleaning the rusty surface.
