Hi Bob, Napa sells a kit to replace the seal and it can be done on the truck.

You have to pull the pitman arm, sometimes you can get the seals (there are two) out by starting the engine and turning the wheel against the stop, they might pop out... I've had better luck with a sheet rock screw and vise grips. Also believe there is a snap ring involved, as well as cleaning the rusty surface.

Always install a filter on the return line if you do ANY work on the PS system.

Wix transmission/PS filter #58964
200 psi working, pressure relieved, magnetic
change yearly or 12000 miles
Ford equivalent filter kit #XC3Z-7B155-AA
filter alone #XC3P-7B155-BA
