Having 2nd Thoughts !
I also have a 04 F150 XLT Supercab. I have no vibration at all in my wheel at any speed and a great ride. What tires do you have on your truck? Have you taken it to the dealer?? I have 17" wheels with the Mich tires. If you have vibration you have a problem somewhere. Make them fix it.

Your right when you spend 30g's on a truck it should be right. So far mine has been all I expected and more.
PS I can't wait to take mine to its first Sprint Car Race April 16th in Sedelia.
Buy a Chevy if you want, but do it for the right reasons (such as temporary insanity or a permanent mental defect).

Or the ability to get a nice cheap work truck package and a decent manual transmission (which Ford has never offered in a 1/2 ton btw)

I've never owned a better vehicle than my 2004 F-150.

I think 2 1/2 months is a bit premature to be making that statement- see how you like it in a year or so, maybe then you'll really feel its the best you've ever owned, or you may feel it's been the worst POS ever- it's too new to tell what problems it will have.
I agree it's been the best new product for Ford in a long time - and it better stay that way for Ford's sake - they can't afford the reputation of being a company who uses their customers as guinea pigs like they did when the 6.0 PSD debuted - I still get a kick out of all the old posts I see like this,(" When the 6.0 comes out, it's gonna put the the Dmax to shame, the Cummins won't hold a candle to it, Ford will be on top again") - hindsight is always 20/20...
I'm not anti Ford in the least buds, I'm just anti BS.
Sprint Car Crazy, don't feel bad, I am in the same boat. I ordered mine and started reading this fourm and thought oh my. The reality is this truck is better than anything else on the market by far. Were getting the right truck.

Yes, the outlaws are there, they put on a great show !
We usually go to knoxville twice a month and for the big events so hope it gets here at least by 1st of April. My wifes Mazda won't pull the camper too well.
I have a 04 XLT SC purchased 10/03 with bright 17" rims and Mich. 265 tires. The first of November the dealer balanced the tires. A week later they "road forced balanced" (what ever that means) the tires. The steering wheel still vibrates over 70 mph. The 45 to 65 mph vibration is in the drive train and but it can be felt in the steering wheel. The dealer would not do any more work until I met with the Ford Rep. I waited 3 long months and 4600 miles to meet the Ford Factory Rep and he said the vibration was "normal". I don't think any new truck should shake at all.
Don't get me wrong my truck is the quietest, best handing, smoothest riding truck I've ever road in, besides the "Normal Vibration" that my truck has.
Just had to add this comment as I truly love this truck.
