Question Dash Question

Does anyone know if there is a specific purpose for the rubberized recessed area in the middle of the dash? Is it for a radar detector or what?-Jack

whatever you want to go there, or whatever you aren't afraid of hitting you or passengers in the case of a collision with someone/thing else.

I was curious at first as well, but like DJBD, I have found it is an awesome place for the cell phone. When I first started putting it up there I would swerve all over trying to make the darn phone move - it didn't - must be made of those space-age materials...

I've only had my truck for 5 days, but I to was wondering what others were doing with it. The wife made a comment about starting our tomato plants in it. ;-) Really, t o m a t o, nothing else. Thankfully, she's just kidding.

I keep a BlueTooth GPS receiver up there. As for the Material that the insert is made of, I can’t get Velcro to stick to it.

You may have noticed from my name that I am a firefighter (volunteer, 18 years). It will make a perfect place for my blue light on the way to an emergency call!

As I was washing my truck inside and out the second day I had it, I tried to wipe the minute amount of dust/lint out of that tray with a hand towel and increased the lint factor ten fold. Them space age materials grabbed all the free fibers off that hand towel that they could.

That dash piece was created for the sole purpose of making people ask questions about it.
