As always, I go to the parts store and tell them the make/model/etc... This time at NAPA, the guy gives me 20" blades and during the swap-out I notice the old ones measure 22". I head back into the store and he looks it up again only to have his computer still show 20" blades...
Anyone know what the right size might be? The 22" blades seemed to work without any problems, but I kept the 20"ers since I had already installed them on my truck.
Somewhere I was given the wrong blades. Maybe F-250s have 22" blades and 350s have 20". That is where some of that extra 5 pounds comes from!
I had the same problem. I think the SD's came with 20" but 22" fits much better and does a better job. Just return the 20" and put/keep the 22" on there. Thats what i did.
I went to Ford for replacements and they gave me a larger-than-stock size (22 v. 20). Okay for summer driving, but in the winter I found that the edges (where the windshield is most curved) tended to accumulate snow. I just went and bought some of the sealed winter wipers and they came in the original 20" size. Both work, but I think the 20's do better in winter.
