I have a 2001 F250 SD regular cab.

What is the correct OEM windshield wiper blade length.......I read and hear conflicting stuff....... I know its either 18, 20 or 22 inches.......

oem is 22".... but if you get a 24" you will be MUCH happier.

 

Hate to disagree with Abendx, but I had always read that OEM was 18". I just measured mine (2002 F-250 SC LB), and they are 19"

In any case, my plan was to replace them with 22" blades, but if Abendx says 24's will fit, I might try that. Best thing to do is get the biggest blades that fit! In fact, replace them right in the parking lot of the parts supply store; if they don't fit right, go back in & exchange them!

At least that's what was OEM on my beast/just replaced the 'squeegee' on drivers side last night! :+ Guess they put different sizes on them, huh? :-X12

how long should they last? mine are 9 months old and shot. it barely rained so i may have used them 8 times. ill try the 24 if they fit.

The stock blades are not high quality. I buy the good stuff (read: the most expensive ones I can get my hands on) and usually run them about a year. I like having good visiblity, and once the wipers show signs of wear, they're out in the garbage. I also run winter blades (the ones with the rubber surrounding the metal arms in the wiper) during the winters; I hate when ice jams into the regular blades.

omg... you doubt me on my oem knowledge?!?!

honestly i pulled that number from memory.... so i could have been off.... i did go back over to the desiel site where i learned that the larger blades will fit and got my confirmation....

20" is the oem size

so i confirmed that i was wrong

bu then again.... so was haroutd

(i used to frequent that site, but got sick of every other post being an advertisment for the edge lift company... so i don't go there any more.)

so.... you can replace with the 20" as ford uses/recommends or get the 24" blades that do fit and are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice! an extra two inches of covrage on either side makes such a difference!! (well maybe not on yeti's new woman... but from the video... she could use an extra two inches of gray matter... and hair )

i use my blades a lot so i replace them quarterly... ford recommends you do it twice a year.

and... a funny thing... as i was looking for proof that my memory had not failed me, i noticed that the truck manual doesn't state the blade size?!?!?! (or at least the online version of the manual doesn't)

as for replacing the blades in the stores parking lot.... damn haroutd, don't you read the signs they have posted?!? i bet your the kind of guy that pee's in the pool (as they also have signs that tell you not to do that also).

 

Snow Blades = Super Rubber = Super Duties, 24" rubbers, ok senser (or) me ..if you have a colour choice....choose the basic black napa # 60-2457...$14.92 each...i prefer that neon white blade that is in prototype birth...sorry back to my c******nay
