Either the flash didn't take correctly or you have a bad sensor in the system
Or, most likely, the very precise procedure for installing the new calibrations was not followed. I.E., as has been emphasized elsewhere on this forum, the tech did not use a battery charger while affecting the installation.

We probably need to memorize the proceedure so we can personally supervise the techs.

4 & 5th gear tranny brake

Choctaw is correct. Either the flash didn't take correctly or you have a bad sensor in the system. In either case i would take it in to the service department and have them fix it. The tow haul should work in 4th & 5th with a touch of the brakes, there is definitely a problem with yours.

Good luck
Are you saying that with the 3U7A Flash the tranny brake should still work in 4th and 5th??? I had mine flashed 4 Jan and It does not work until I'm down to 45 MPH!! That is with or without a load.

thats exactly what mine does only 40 mph. that is not a good trans brake you have to brake to get it to that point, it is only using trans for a very short period.

Thats exactly what i am saying. If you touch the brakes in tow haul 4th & 5th will work as previous before flash.

Hope this helps

you can touch the brakes on my truck but it will not slow you down in 4th or5th gear, it kicks in at 40mph and down shifts twice. tryed it with trl. and without no diff. tryed it touching twice , tryed touching once, tryed touching 3 times doesnt work till 40mph.

tn mac,

Like I, Choctaw Bob and Luke SdeS, said in previous posts, there is definitely something wrong with your truck/transmission if the Tow/Haul mode is not engaging until you slow down to 40mph. IMO i would take your truck to a knowledgeble Ford 6.0 diesel tech and have them find out what is wrong with your truck/transmission.

Hope this helps

Is there any documentation that states it should work in 4th and 5th??
I'm not questioning you guys, I just like to have proof before I challenge people. I specifically remember the dealer telling me it worked at 45 and 35 as examples.
