That would be considered a "cold" air intake. Ram Air might get you just a little more HP, but like I said, if you run a 3-4" tube from behind your grille or bumper to you air filter it'll help bring cool air into the filter. I'd just go with the K&N kit, get the FIPK.
Dynomax, Magnaflow or Gibson. Gibson makes the quietest exhaust but still gives you good performance. My dad has magnaflows on his '71 Plymouth Duster 360 and they have almost no restriction. I think the magnaflows give the most HP increase but they're probably not as quiet as you'd like. Here's a link to here what it would sound like on your truck ~approximately.

I'm looking for an exhaust system also. Heard great things about Flowmaster. However I'm stuck between 40 or 50 series. Also I've seen where they offer something called American Thunder and Force II systems. I don't know which mufflers series they use with these.
I agree, it's very confusing!
My decision would be simple if...................Flowmaster did what Gibson does and made a dual side out (same side like the Harley edition). and made a stainless steel version of their stuff!!!!!!
I've been listening to trucks that I can see have aftermarket exhausts on them while I'm driving. I try to ask them what they're running if I like the sound. Amazing!!!!!!! Most of them.....nah, ALL of them (like 4), don't know. They say something like, "The guy at the shop put it on". Try to track that down?
Anyway probably goin' to have to take a leap of faith and throw down on sumpin'. Let us know if you jump------maybe some of us will follow.
