I heard recently that 99 F250 Super Duty, 7.3, 4X4 is known for brake problems. My rear brakes seem to warp easily, but that may only mean I need new rotors. I had them turned which solved the problem for a short time. Any feedback
I have a 99-1/2 F-250PSD 4x4 crew cab. I installed Performance Friction Carbon metallic brake pads on mine at about 40k miles and they have been great. I also changed the rotors at that point. They had a fair amount of wear and needed to be turned but I did not have time to wait on them. I have not seen any warping under extreme use and they do not fade in fact they stop better when they are hot.
Thanks fb73. I appreciate the reply. By the way, how do you enter the personal info at the bottom of your message. Do you enter it each time or is there a field that stays in the database?
To add the stuff at the bottom all you need to do is to click on the settings block near the top of the page and then edit profile. Once you are at your profile you can change your signature to whatever you want. Most people have there truck described. Once it is there you don’t need to type it in. Also if you change it, it will update in any other posting you have up.
