Started truck the other day and brake peddle went to the floor with no back pressure and ABS and Brake lite appeared on dash. I drove around the block only to find out I have lost most of my truck's ability to brake as the brake peddle hits the floor when pressed.
What should I check out to determine the problem. My Truck is a 4x2.
How about looking at;
the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir, for a leak around the master cylinder lines, under the truck and on the road surface where it sat.
Is the pedal hard with the engine off?
If yes, consider a faulty power brake actuator.
If no, consider the master cylinder needs replacement. replacement.
Consider the master in either case if nothing else is found.
Good luck.
