These products work. But, you can also get the same result if you keep a good coat of wax on your truck. Just take off the nozzle and let the water roll onto the body. I use meguires gold class wax and use the quick detailer between. After the water sheets off, I drive it around the block and the water is gone. I have to wipe a spot here and there but you really should go over you truck anyway to look for imperfections. For those that dont have a whole lot of time to clean a car, that product should work fine. But for those that are serious about detailing should know that a good coat of wax will do the same thing.
I did a similar test using Blue Coral soap cut 1 to 2 parts water. Found that the sheeting action was not there. I agree with you for a $1.50 a wash in my drive way, with my cold brew is hard to beat.
Just finished using my new Mr Clean and I am VERY pleased with the results. We have very hard water and even with a chamois it is hard to keep streaks off the windows. I had none and didn't have to wipe the windows at all.
I use the AutoDry and love it. Our water is so bad that even after you washed and dryed the car you still had spots. I have a black truck and now I don't dry any of it and if you use it like instructed there are virtually no spots. I am amazed. I don't think my windows have ever looked this clean and clear.
I bought mine at BJ's for $22.00(it's the full kit, not the trial size), it's now down to $20.00. Plus I've seen $5 coupons in the Sunday paper which BJ's will take.
So anyway, it did a good job, the product does like it says. I must say my wash mit was a lot dirtier.
My only question is, how long will this product be around? Or at least the refills.
There have been a lot of car care products that come and go.
