blend door adjustment
I just repalced the heater core case on a 97 Explorer, but when I reinstalled the blend door controller I noticed it was putting a lot of pressure on the door when you went to full high,The ford manual, nor alldata addresses this ,and I really dont want to brake this one.any sujjestions ,there were no codes on the self test, And I tried anouther controller with the same results?

There seems to be lots of breakage of the blend doors and I think it's due to overdrive of the actuator. If you look for the "free blend door fix" posts, you'll read about my speculation of exactly what you're seeing. After taking apart the actuator, we didn't spot an adjustment to the amt of drive either.
However, if yours ain't broke, don't fix it. Just read up on how to fix it in case it does break.
