EFI has too many parts and wiring for my liking. I believe in the KISS theory, I guess thats because I'm a Big Rig mechanic, simple is easy on the head and the hands...LOL.....I have a majic screwdriver.....but I rarely have to use it on my Holley. When I put the 94 roller 5.0 HO in my 63 Mercury last winter it came with the EFI stuff, I sold it all for $50.......bye bye EFI.....I have a better chance of limping the Merc home with a carb than with EFI should something break.

Makes sense, and not knocking your thoughts on the subject at all.
I'm just always doing funky stuff, and EFI allows me to have a more precise control than with a carb.
Also, I should probably say, I've started driving when EFI was your only choice, and got into older muscle cars later, so maybe I learned it first and how to dissect it.
