2000 Explorer Hard Shift - Please Help

I have a 2000 ford explorer. Today I noticed that it shifts very hard between 1st and 2nd gear. The engine revs about 500 rpms and it is very noticable.

Any Suggestions? Thanks

Are there any other symptoms, like a flashing OD Off light or DTC code?

When was it serviced last? They have to have the fluid changed around 50,000 miles +/-.
