A guy at my work has a 69 F100 4x4 he wants to get rid of, where can I get some specs on what the trucks drivetrain is? It has a blown t-case(original 2Hi or 4 Hi case), 4 speed , 352 or 390 and 16.5" wheels. Thanks
Sounds like it has a 360/Np435/Dana 21. Though with 16.5 wheels, I would tend to think it is a F-100 body on a F-250/350 frame.
Get numbers from all the major body parts (not easy sometimes).
FWIW: Very few vehicles blow the Ford OEM transfer case without major damage being down to the rest of the drivetrain. Do a engine compression test to the engine and jack up the axles and make sure they rotate okay.
As for the transfer case being blown, could just be the pivot and easily solved with a 5/8 x 4" bolt and castle nut.
