Engine ID # ?

Engine ID # ?
The engine in my early 99 (06-98) was replaced with a used motor from a auto parts yard before I purchased the truck. I was told it is also a 1999 engine but wonder if that is true. The ID# by the oil filter reads 74JU2U7819961. Does anyone know how to decipher this #. I could not find any info in the decipher your VIN# post. Thanks.

hey there here is what i have....
7.4 = Engine Identifying code
H (or J)= variation of engine
M2= End User Code
U= Country of origin
last seven are serial number sequence number
