Hi Guys: On a Oakville, Ont made truck that door plate has RR-3L/D for the engine and transmission. I would like them translated. Thank you in advance. Joe. P.S. NumberDummy already deciphered the serial number for me. Thanks NumberDummy.
Thanks NumberDummy. It was puzzling to me as the serial # starts with a 4 which you told me was a V8. So has to be a 292. It was changed to a 6 cyl and 4 speed tranny. We would like to return to its original engine and automatic so my grandsons can drive it. The truck came from Western Canada and arrived yesterday in Dunnville, Ont. We will have lots of questions I am sure before we get it restored. Joe

If the VIN starts with a 4, it's a V8. Being that's it's a 1964, it would be the 292 2V.
I've decoded well over 700 VIN's on FTE, so...I cannot recall what someone's specific VIN is after the fact.
btw: Your "About Me" feature listed in your profile says you have a 1965 F100. And when you asked the above question, you did not mention this truck is a 1964.
I found that out by reading one of your other posts...mebbe I should have read all of them.
Thanks NumberDummy: I am sorry I forgot to mention the truck was a 1964 F100. I guess we should put a picture of it on here. It is quite solid as very little salt used in Sask. and quite dry climate. Joe
