RCcrawler, where can i get studs for my spindles, I tried screwing grade 8 bolts in from the back side but the heads seem to be too thick and looked like they would rub on the axel yoke. I have the Supperior heavy 44 axels.
I have heard of guys stripping all of the spindle bolts out during a hard downward pull with a winch. Mine are getting sloppy from on and off. I have helicoiled a few and if I take them off again I will have to do a few more.

If you have access to a good industrial bolt supplier, they should be able to get what you want. I have also ran across some on GM trucks over the years, although I couldn't pin down what years they were.

just wanted to let RCrawler you were on the money about the tapered sleeves in my knuckels. put it up on the alignment rack yesterday and there is movement. guess i tightened them down enough when i first put the tie rods on, that it was ok to align. now that i have driven in they have become loose again. called wild horse and ordered tapered sleves to install in the knuckels. that should tighten up the steering ALOT.
