Half-tracks are cool. The engine blocks were made out of Chromoly . . .

hey if one of u mower guys would like to see a pic of a cub lifted with some look like maybe 30s on it email me and ill send u the pic to post i have no clue how.
In other news, got t-boned in an intersection by a ditz running a red friday...thought I was fine but they insisted on taking me to the hospital. Head wounds do bleed allot I guess. Anyways, minor concussion and abrasions, no big deal. Nothing different than my average weekend of wheeling
Now I'm REALLY peeved and my vendors are being damned slow shipping me my parts to finish my truck. Had planned on getting it together this weekend but I'm still waiting on the brown trucks...
My Fords fine. Actually, I don't think I CAN be t-boned in my red truck, they'd just shoot under me. I was with a friend who was driving, got hit on my side, both vehicles are pretty messed up. I'm fine, I've just had an ironic run of bad luck. But thanks for the well wishes, maybe my bad lucks spent like you said and I won't pretzle my driveline with the 4-speed.
I call being T-boned with NO major injuries GOOD luck. It could always have been a lot worse, especially getting hit on your side.
That sucks Pro. On the plus side, make a few more trips to the doctor if you have enough time and you'll walk away with a nice chunk of change from the insurance. It could pay for your new tranny . . . or a tank of gas.
That $45 paint job looks great ho! So I'm curious how much did you have to trim off your fender? I have always been 100% set against trimming my fenders but your truck looks awesome the way it sits on those 44's.
Yea, its all in the trim job. I knew a guy out here that trimmed his fenders, then took it to the body shop and had the edges rolled, it looked awesome. Looked like it came that way from the factory. Then theres the guys who sorta "eyeball" it with the sawzall and a six pack under their belt. Ho's looks pretty nice, and its cool to see a truck that low sitting on 44s.
In other news, I'm having waaay too much fun with the super sawzall that the wife got me for Christmas. I think I'm gonna start running around at night and cutting out the fenders on the neighborhood minivans
i used air nibblers.....it gives a nice smooth cut.....for the rear you have to go back over the top part with the sawzall to get the inner part. i cut about 3 inches out, and in the front i trimmed more off the bottom edges, and the front of the front fenders i cut the little part that hangs down straghit off. when i get a chance i need to hack a bunch more off the front of the front since i moved the axle foward.
i think it looks good cause i used a bolt, a peice of wire and a pencil set up for about 3 inches to follow the contour of the fenders
I kinda like a good rip claw and air hammer myself. I could follow pro around intalling moon roofs in those minivans. it puts a whole new meaning to removable top.

Sweet! Now thats my kinda thinking. We could wear masks and stuff. You'd have to be the sidekick though
edit: Ho, I've been meaning to pick up a pair of air nibblers...haven't gotten around to it though. You don't have any problems with them slightly deforming thin metal as you cut?

Hey Ho, if you get a chance, with that fancy newfangled camera you've got, will you snap me a close up shot of your front and rear fenders when you have time? I'd like to get a better look. The new picture makes them almost look like factory fenders.
I'd always been against chopping, mostly because you see so many people do a crappy job of it and I don't want my truck looking like a kindergartener's art project. But ho's truck looks tough as hell sitting on those 44's. I'm seriously considering going this route. I would see about having a shop roll the edges so they look clean but I can't imagine it would cost all that much.
I also like the idea of not having to lift my suspension so much and keeping a better center of gravity. Now here's something else to keep me awake all night . . . contemplating what to do.
