First problems found
I figured i'd check for my oil leak today, it's been 5 days since i wiped the bellhousing off. Guess what? the drip is back, almost the same as it was before. I'm gonna call the dealer for an appointment for next week. Tomorrow the new Leer cap goes on, been waiting for that to come in for 6 weeks, came in 3 weeks ago damaged on the trailer so they ordered a new one, they say this ones perfect, hopefully it is.
I emailed ford customer service on friday, I did'nt expect any answer but low and behold i had a phone message on saturday from them, I called back and got a woman that only knew what the recall notice said, so i asked if she could pass my questions on up the chain and she said she would. I asked; Is pilot injection defective? If it isnt then why is ford disabling it as it states in the recall notice? If it is, then why is ford disabling it and not repairing it, why are they just leaving a defective item on my truck without fixing it?
I doubt if I'll hear anything but we`ll see, she noted my complaints so its on record, I'm gonna call Duncan when i get a chance, I'll post what i find out.
I posted the new pics of my leak in my gallery, Thanks all for the advice. Take care, John

Thought i would give an update on my first long haul with my F250, Rhode Island to North Carolina, 14 hour trip down, 12 1/2 hour trip back. Truck performed great, was loaded with 2 guys and a truckload of show chickens.
Only problem I finally got to confirm is the "droan" really noticed it on 55 mph roads, exactly at 1600 rpms it would show up, push thru 1700 and would go away, was nervous about speeding on those NC back roads, they love to to ticket out of staters, especiallly yankee's, lol.
Mpg's were really good, first check 17mpg, but that was going south on Rt 95 right thru New York City, so I expected to be alittle low thru there. next fillup was 18.5, That was traveling 81 south from PA thru VA with a stop to visit in the blue ridge mtn's, truck was great going over New Market Gap, lotsa power pulling those Mountain grades, awsome on the hairpin turns, was fun to drive thru there, was fun to drive the whole way down, lol. last mpg check on way back home was 19, that was coming back 85 east to 95, no mountains that way.
Only complaints I have with the truck is the droan and my oil leak is still there and oil level still looked high with a quick check I made. I recieved my blackstone sample kit, will send that out soon. I've decided to tell dealer not to flash truck when i take it in for oil leak and droan, will wait and se what ford comes out with next. I will be using Lukes suggested work order statements and will see what happens.
Hope I didnt ramble to long. Take care, John
