Looking at 6.0's

Hi all. Im new here.
Before I get into my questions, I want to thank everyone here. I registered earlier in the month when we decided to look at a 6.0 truck and although this is my first post, Ive been here every day reading up and learning about these engines. I also watched the "all injectors blow out" thread an Im really impressed at the efforts made by all that helped.
Been looking to get into an '03-'07 crew 4x4 for a while and finally getting around to it. We're going to look at a truck this weekend. Its a one owner '05 with a little over 90k on it. I spoke to the owner and it has had some warranty and recall work in its lifetime so I went to my local dealer today and got a copy of the Oasis report. Thats where I have questions. Heres what it shows…

3k/miles 6/05 Surges at low speed, worse when towing. p0299. FP 55psi, turbo 25psi. Replaced EBP.

5k 7/05 Blew intercooler hose at turbo. Retightened.

6k 8/05 Low speed surge, they reprogrammed PCM/TCM/FICM.
Blew CAC hose again. Replaced intercooler tube at turbo.

12k 2/06 they replaced the EBP sensor (recall-05e15) and reprogrammed PCM/TCM/FICM. Same visit it got a new degas label and coolant level adjustment. (part of my concern)

35.3k 2/08 CEL when towing, and hard start when CEL is on unless accelerator pressed.
Dealer replaced fan clutch and FICM per hotline.

35.8k 3/08 Intercooler boot leaking oil. Replaced again.

...Heres where it gets interesting...

37.3k 4/08 (6wks after previous intercooler leak)
Customer states blows white smoke under load. Failure at EGR cooler. Replaced EGR cooler. (but no mention of oil cooler). Leaking at EGR cooler, top off fluid.
Customer states FICM replaced 2 mos ago, now wont start. Remove both valve covers, found one oring on standpipe damaged. Reinstalled retest. Also found leak at HPOP, replaced adapter and fitting.

At 52k miles 7/09 it was in for another cranks/no start, lacks power on accel from start. PID's show ICP not dropping under 100psi after shut off. R&R ICP, system pass.

Nothing after that. Warranty expired 2/10.

The EGR cooler concerns me as theres no mention of the oil cooler being replaced. Was it standard procedure to replace the oil cooler when replacing an EGR cooler by 2008 ? Is this a valid concern as it was replaced over 5 years ago and still on the road ?
Looks like the HPOP STC fitting was replaced. Was the improved fitting in use by 2008 ?
If one standpipe oring was replaced, should I still be concerned about them ? Would dummy plugs have been done at the same time or left alone if there was no problem with them ?

I did buy and program a SGII 2 weeks ago.
On the PID's, there are several MTH codes to use if the EOT isnt reading right. How do you know if it isnt reading right ? Is this a hit and miss kinda thing or are those other codes for certain years or firmware updates ? I have the first one programmed in currently (F05F).

Engine calibration 5F720F0A. Is this the PCM "flash" ?

Any input you have would be greatly appreciated. Truck appears to be really clean (from pics) and well taken care of. Owner said they kept up on oil changes, its totally stock, and never had a programmer.

k.

If worried about the oil cooler, take it on a drive with the SG2 hooked up and check deltas. I'm pretty sure with warranty work they will only replace what is broken.
As far as the STC, I'm not sure when they released the new updated version. Maybe they will have a parts list of the repair.
