mating 2 transfer cases
i have a 78 bronco and just for kicks and because i have the parts i wanted to make it six wheel drive, can anyone give me some tech help on mating the transfer cases together?
the easieast way (this is NOT an easy project any way you approach it) would be a pair of 2-1/4ton axles in the rear. they are set up for a rear exiting driveshaft to power the rearmost axle. Its gonna be real tight with the short wheelbase.
Usually transfer cases are mated together to achieve a double reduction and you still only have one rear output and one front output.

There was an article in a 4x4 magazine over a year ago that had dual (Dodge or Chevy truck) transfer cases for 6x6. Think it was Four Wheeler. I think this might be a better option:

I think Sun Ray Engineering offers tandem 9 inch axles too.
