I need to level my bronco, I was going to use the daystar 2 inch coil spring spacers. What all do i have to correct when i install this? Any other modifications? thanks for your help.
When you install them, you will HAVE to get the truck aligned. Personally, you should consider a spring swap, instead of those spacers. They can fail prematurely. I am running a leveling kit on my 96 (See gallery) that I bought off of ebay. It was 120 or so, plus the cost of an alignment.
where do you guys get your information from? The truck won't squat in the rear if you do it right, you don't put in a lift in the front without thinking about the rear. Also those spacers are dependable for someone who doesn't have 1000 for a lift. The springs are probably better but then your truck rides like a brick because you switched to a longer stiffer spring. Right?
No, the truck wont squat. It will only appear to squat if you are carrying a load (otherwise, it would be level in stock form under load). The leveling kit I purchased off of ebay is a spring lift kit. They use a progresssive spring, that has the same characteristics of the stock units. Youre ride shouldnt change.
I have spent some time researching the hole idea of lifting your truck. I like to be informed before I waist my time , money, and effort.
Every thing I have found and read about the leveling kits, is that it changes the static stance of the truck. Meaning, it levels a truck that is just parked, "under-no-load", just sitting there.
All trucks have a lower front than back. They are designed to sit a certain way, when empty.
They are designed to do work. To carry a "load". To make this as easy as possible the truck will sit level when "under-load". This is designed in such a way as to improve ride quality "under-load", and to improve steering "under-load".
When the truck is moving down the road at 70 mph it is "under-load" to a point.... all that aero-dynamic stuff.
If the truck sits level at rest, like a "Show" truck, then it will squat "under-load".
It is a simple concept. It is easy to understand.... How-ever, I do agree with what was said above, pay-attention to the springs... riding on a brick is not fun.

easy way to level bronco. pair of cc826 springs (moog, trw part#)they are from an E250,and moog makes an new bushing for upper ball joint to bring your camber back to spec.rides same as orig. plus 33x12.50 on 10 inch rims fit perfect.i've done 4 80-95 broncos this way. i've also used airlift airbags in springs(about $70.00 summit racing)work great, but was always worried they would rupture when 1000 miles from home, yet never had a failure.
