HPOP Oil Level

I changed my oil yesterday and was going to check the oil level in the HPOP too. I forgot the correct level. Could someone tell me where the oil level in the HPOP should be when i take the plug out of the top.

Roughly an inch below the plug, but not exactly. If you can see the oil level, you are more than likely good.

If it starts...the level is good.

Really no reason to ever check it unless you are troubleshooting.

Haha! Yeah, that's what I've been thinking... what's the difference if it's one in or three inches? If it starts just fine with whatever's in there, then it's enough IMO. If you were having prolonged starts, then yeah... might have a problem there. I wouldn't know... I haven't had a REALLY good started on my truck since I've had it.
