expediton crazy light flashingchimes ringing
i took my car to dealer blower fan came on with car being off 3 times in two months it killed the batery every time they said it was the batery they changed it then air bag light came on flashed then stayed on every 25 to 30 minutes the awd 4+4light comes on rings a chime and goes off the light for the over drive flashes all the time now i went through a couple of big pudles but iam lost as what to do afraid to go to dealer now the drvers window worts only sometimes help

its a computer type part that controls alot of the electrical stuff iv'e been told that some expeditions have a windsheild leak that drips on the gem module check that you may have to do it twice its costly this forum knows a lot more than the 3 dealers i tried i always get good advice here some of these guys must be crackerjack mecanics they know so much it behind the fuse box good luck

Does the GEM go by a different name, the guys at my local parts house can't seem to get it to pull up in their system, but the dealer with gladly sell me one for $200

You won't be able to get one aftermarket other than the dealer...just like wiper modules, abs modules, central timers, etc... The software in those is proprietary and even in production they are expensive so service will be VERY expensive. FYI GEM stands for Generic Electronic Module...very high-tech name!!!
